Biology     Glossary (e.g. epibenthic)

The type locality is a small stream. The water at the type locality was clear with a moderate to swift current; substrate was gravel. The only other species collected at this locality was Schistura macrotaenia (Yang, 1990). From stomach content analysis, specimens contained mainly aquatic plants and a few aquatic insects.

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.5000   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00708 (0.00330 - 0.01518), b=3.00 (2.83 - 3.17), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this Genus-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Trophic level (Ref. 69278):  2.6   ±0.27 se; based on food items.
Resilience (Ref. 120179):  High, minimum population doubling time less than 15 months (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
