A conspicuous distal blotch on the dorsal fin; a few scales on the sides with faint black crescent-shaped marks on their base; barbels absent or rudimentary (Ref. 27732); body relatively deep, depth 2.5-2.7 times in SL (Ref. 43281).

Biology     Glossary (e.g. epibenthic)

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.5039   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.01175 (0.00548 - 0.02519), b=3.00 (2.82 - 3.18), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this (Sub)family-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Trophic level (Ref. 69278):  2.9   ±0.33 se; based on food items.
Resilience (Ref. 120179):  High, minimum population doubling time less than 15 months (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
