Short description Morphology | Morphometrics

Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-12. Diagnosis: Enteromius atkinsoni is a member of the group of small Enteromius with a thin, flexible last unbranched dorsal ray and two pairs of well developed barbels (Ref. 87017). It differs from all the other species of this group in East Africa in having fewer scales in the midlateral line, and pores restricted to the first 4-9 scales of this series (Ref. 87017).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.5000   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.01000 (0.00244 - 0.04107), b=3.04 (2.81 - 3.27), in cm total length, based on all LWR estimates for this body shape (Ref. 93245).
Trophic level (Ref. 69278):  3.0   ±0.3 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Resilience (Ref. 120179):  High, minimum population doubling time less than 15 months (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
