Biology     Glossary (e.g. epibenthic)

The type locality, Pange River, where the species was collected was characterized by the passage of the river between deep gorges flanked with thick vegetation; from relatively swift but clear and moderately deep (50-100 cm) water as the bottom of the river was clearly visible. The area has different types of substrate including gravels, cobbles and medium to large-sized boulders with thick layers of aquatic green algae and moss. The vegetation along the river bank is characteristic of tropical evergreen forest dominated by different types of bamboos and broad-leafed trees. Associated fish recorded from the collection site includes Schizothorax richardsonii, Creteuchiloglanis arunachalensis and Oreoglanis pangenensis (Ref. 128990).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = No PD50 data   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00708 (0.00336 - 0.01491), b=3.01 (2.84 - 3.18), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this (Sub)family-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Trophic level (Ref. 69278):  2.8   ±0.3 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Resilience (Ref. 120179):  Medium, minimum population doubling time 1.4 - 4.4 years (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
