Diagnosis

Description: Dark olive green to bluish grey dorsally, shading to silvery white; blackish spot (about half of pupil diameter) on upper rear edge of opercle; olive grey to blackish second dorsal fin without white tip on anterior lobe (Ref. 2334, Ref. 90102). Body oblong and compressed, dorsal profile strongly convex anteriorly, ventral profile slightly convex (Ref. 90102). Breast completely scaled. LL 33-42 strong scutes (Ref. 2334, Ref. 90102). Pectoral fins falcate; 2 anal fin spines detached (Ref. 2334, Ref. 90102). Adipose eyelid well developed (Ref. 90102).
