| Commentaires | Introduced to feed on abundant but unexploited small size haplochromines, to convert them into larger table fish (Ref. 7270). The introduction from Lake Albert, Uganda to Lake Victoria in Tanzania remains to be fully evaluated. Has invaded preferred habitats of both O. esculentus and O. variabilis (Ref. 13046).
