Comments: | Reintroduced in 1956. It has invaded all freshwater bodies in the country where it has established. The present fish stock in all the freshwater bodies remain largely unexploited due to the general public dislike for small Tilapia. The introduction of an efficient predator to keep the Tilapia population under control is under consideration. Ref: FAO, 1997 |
