Comments: | Introduced in the 1950s for aquaculture purposes (Ref. 1739) from Kipopo/Lubumbashi (Ref. 46152, 55074). Luapula/Mweru strain (probably O. mweruensis) introduced since 1949, from 1952 onwards also Zambesi/Kafue strain (probably O. macrochir), but at that time wrongly named T. andersonii (Ref. 46152).
