| Treatments: | Sporozoa-infections are in most cases incurable. If there is only a small growth in any part of the body, treatment can be effective using Methylene blue (1 gm/100 ml). Ref. 41805. | |
| Prophylaxis: | Quarantine. Removal of infected fish and disinfection. Put a fine mesh screen above bottom. | |
