| Starts with a few spots which look like Ich. Cauliflower-like tumor with prevalence on the head and other parts of the body and fins. (Ref. 41805). The initial stage of the disease may look-like Whitespot, but it is not as contagious as Whitespot. Some of the fish may be infected and the others may not. The white cysts develops in a large clumps in a few weeks with a diameter up to 0.5 cm. Ref. 48502. |
| Chininsulfat baths 60 mg/l. If only the fins are infected, scraping off or cutting away the affected parts is a good treatment. Sometimes the disease cures spontaneously after a period of time, with exception to serious infections. Coper sulphate (Dose: Stock-solution: 4 gm/1 liter, 20 ml/100 l or 4 drops/liter) and water changes have proven at times to be useful. Ref. 41085. |
