Symptoms: Loss of appetite, lethargic swimming, excess mucus production, and a lumpy body surface because of the parasite (Ref. 048690).  
Treatments: The parasite is transparent in color so dipping the infected fish in freshwater will make the parasite visible. Bathing in 150 ppm hydrogen peroxide (500 ml of 30% hydrogen peroxide in 1 t seawater) for 30 minutes (Ref. 048690).  
Prophylaxis: Suitable amount of intake water (Ref. 048690).  
Remarks: Causative agents: C. belones, C. bonito, C. constrictus, C. coryphaenae, C. patulus, C. productus, C. quadratus, C. macarovi, C. auxisi, C. mutabilis.
