Remarks: Infection commonly occurs in the abdominal cavity. Host fish is assumed to be a third- and fourth-stage larvae, and it can act either as a secondary intermediate or paratenic hosts (other paratenic hosts may be amphibians and reptiles). Human infection can be trace to ingestion of raw infected fish.
