Symptoms: Heavy infection results in an inflamed and sore gills.  
Treatments: Use of 0.25 ppm Malathion and Dipterex (Dylox, Masoten, Neguvon) in ponds or 0.12 ppm Bromex (Dibrom, Naled) (Ref. 45600).  
Prophylaxis:    
Remarks: Commonly found on parts of the skin well supplied with blood vessel, such as circum-oral region, gills, walls of the operculum and the base of various fins (Ref. 52499). Feeds on mucus and epithelial cells (Ref. 52504). Also Ref. 45600.
