Remarks: Infestation occurs most commonly in the gills. Besides 1986 (Natividad et al.), the infestation also occurred in 1989 (Bondad-Reantaso and Arthur), 1992 (Lumanlan et al.) in Luzon. In 1990 (Bondad-Reantaso and Arthur) the infesation was recorded in Luzon, Mindanao, Palawan and Panay. The parasite species is commonly Cryptobia branchialis. Also Ref. 41805.
