Abundance: common (usually seen) 
Comments: Occurs in shallow water along the coast. Brackish records from Vancouver Island, the Fraser, Stikine, Taku and Alsek Rivers as well as rivers of the central coast (Ref. 10882). Young are commonly taken in the Fraser River. Taken with hook and line by game fishers. Combined daily limit for all flounder and sole species caught is 8 (Ref. 11007).
