Comments: Eggs were purchased by the Canada Department of Fisheries from Wisconsin and Montana, placed in hatcheries and introduced the young (fry, fingerlings and yearlings) into the Cowichan and Little Qualicum Rivers in Vancouver Island to provide fish for summer angling (Ref. 4925). Established in the upper Cowichan and the Little Qualicum River; also in the Kettle and Similkameen Rivers (Ref. 10882). Game fishers have daily catch quotas of 4-6 (all trout/char combined) depending on the region but only 2-4 trouts may be taken from streams and only one trout >50 cm.
