Type locality, Pelsart Island, Houtman Abrolhos, Western Australia, AM I.4917 (holotype of Epinephelides leai) (Ref. 75154). Known from the Great Australian Bight to Shark Bay (Ref. 75154, 115274). Also reported from Recherche Archipelago to Houtman Abrolhos Ils (Ref. 7300). |
