Ranges from Cape Hawke in New South Wales to Beachport in South Australia. Found between 770 and 1,400 m. By-catch of the Australian orange roughy fishery but is not utilized because of the high content of mercury in the flesh. Also Ref. 7300, 119696, 117245.
