Occurs in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia (Ref. 6871). Rare off southern Australia (Ref. 6871). Reports from Tasmania and the Great Australian Bight need validation (Ref. 6871). Most abundant in 300-500 m (Ref. 6871). Sometimes caught by trawlers but of little commercial interest (Ref. 6871).
