Known from the mouth of the Zhujiang River (= Pearl River) to nearshore of Heibei and Liaoning Province, also in lower reaches of rivers (Ref. 33837). Type locality: Shanghai (Ref. 26282).

Known from Yingkou of Liaoning Province; Beidaihe of Hebei Province; Yantai, Weihai of Shandong Province; Songjiang of Shanghai City; Chaohu Lake of Anhui Province; Hukou of Jiangxi Province; Wuchang of Hubei Province; Fuzhou of Fujiang province(Ref.33837).
