Known from Orissa, Maharashtra, and Krishna and Godavari river systems (Ref. 4832) and Madhya Pradesh (Ref. 45255). Found in Chilka Lake (Ref. 29108), Western Ghats (Ref. 40976) and Mahanadi river at Hirakud Dam (Ref. 41236). Very common in streams of South India (Ref. 4832). Also Ref. 43634, 43640. Status of threat: Data deficient in Western Ghats (Ref. 50614). |
