Comments: Known from the White River system in Nevada (Ref. 86798). Common but threatened due to human encroachment and introductions of non-native fishes (Ref. 86798). Also Ref. 5723, 27139. Status of threat: endangered; status same as 1989. Criteria: 1,3,4 (http://fisc.er.usgs.gov/afs/) (Ref. 81264).

North America: White River system in Nevada, USA. Five subspecies were recognized: Crenichthys baileyi albivallis in Preston Big and nearby springs; Crenichthys baileyi thermophilus in Mormon and nearby springs; Crenichthys baileyi grandis in Hiko and Crystal springs; Crenichthys baileyi moapae in headwater springs of Moapa River; and Crenichthys baileyi baileyi in Ash Spring.
