Comments: Five specimens (28.0-33.6 cm TL) were caught by gill net from south of Basra, Arabian Gulf (29° 49’ 11.9’’N, 48° 45’ 50.31’’ E), at depths of 50-100 m last March 7, 2012. These new records extend to the northwest the species range in the Arabian Gulf and are considered new records for the country (Ref. 117362).
