Distinguished by the following characteristics: pelvic frenum lacking or only visible with magnification; membrane uniting medial rays of pelvic fin slight to moderate; D1 height moderate, its margin straight to slightly convex, a brown stripe mesially and many white spots proximally, no elongate spines; D2 with single dusky stripe mesially; dorsal fins not connected by membrane; D 1 with 10-17 spines; longitudinal scale count 62-78; head width 14.2-18,9% SL; pelvic fin length 11.6-14.8% SL; length of anal fin base 15.7-19.3% SL; length ofD2 base 20. 1-22.7% SL; totalD2elements 11-13; total anal fin elements 11-12; TRDB 16-19 (Ref. 5218).
