Morfología | Morfometría
Radios blandos dorsales (total): 9; Radios blandos anales: 20 - 24. Can be diagnosed from Chela atpar by having complete lateral line with 35-40 + 1-3 pored scales (vs. 56-61+3-4), 23-24 predorsal scales (vs. 28-33) and 16 precaudal vertebrae (vs.17). Possesses also characters that indicate affinity to Laubuka and differs from all other species of Laubuka by the combination of the following characters: long, filamentous pelvic fin with 1+4 rays (vs. 1+5), longest ray reaching beyond anal-fin origin, usually to base of branched anal-fin ray 2 or 3, sometimes to base of branched ray 8; 16 precaudal vertebrae (vs. 14); 5,4,1 teeth (vs. 5,4,2) on fifth ceratobranchial; and humeral spot absent (vs. present) (Ref. 97354).
