Morfología | Morfometría
Espinas dorsales (total): 7; Radios blandos dorsales (total): 9; Espinas anales 1; Radios blandos anales: 8; Vértebra: 26. This specie sis distinguished by the following characters: 7 predorsal scales; 9 second dorsal-fin rays; 16 pectoral fin rays, all unbranched; first dorsal fin with second spine elongate and filamentous; fifth pelvic-fin ray unbranched; height of basal membrane between innermost pelvic-fin rays about 20% of length of fifth ray; interorbital or postorbital trough absent; no scales on opercle; head and body dull yellow; fresh and color in life of snout, interorbit, and upper and lower parts of eye dark violet (Ref. 81089).
Occurs in outer reef slopes in 50-70 m (Ref. 90102).
