Asia: Salween River in Thailand, but presumably more broadly distirbuted through the basin in both eastern Myanmar and western Thailand.

Description synthétique Morphologie | Morphométrie

Épines dorsales (Total): 2; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 7; Rayons mous anaux: 53 - 55; Vertèbres: 52 - 54. Distinguished from all other species of the genus by the combination of the following characters: gill rakers on the first arch 18-20; branched anal-fin rays 48-50; length of accessory premaxillary tooth patch extending posteriorly nearly to the terminus of the gape; posterior limit of the upper jaw under the orbit; fleshy flap along the anterior margin of the posterior naris barely extending medial of the medial margin of the naris for a distance distinctly less than the transverse length of the posterior naris; pectoral-fin spine length 18.7-21.3% SL: lateral margin of the pectoral spine smooth; and snout in lateral view rounded (Ref. 75095).
