individuals larger than 3.5 cm SL (vs. dark bars or marks present on the sides of the body in specimens of all sizes in the remaining species of Characidium) (Ref. 76854).
Found mostly in riffles, rocky bed with pebbles and sand deposits (Ref. 76854).
