Kurzbeschreibung Morphologie | Morphometrie

Rückenflossenstacheln (insgesamt): 0; Afterflossenstacheln 0; Afterflossenweichstrahlen: 18 - 19. Belly with 6 to 8 small needle-like pre-pelvic scutes. Maxilla tip pointed, reaching to or beyond hind border of pre-operculum, the latter concave, indented near maxilla tip. Anal fin short, with origin below about middle of dorsal fin base.

Biologie     Fachlexikon (Englisch) (z.B. epibenthic)

A schooling species found in coastal waters. Records from the estuaries Swartskops and Kei Rivers suggest that it can tolerate brackish water. More data needed.
