Taggstrålar i ryggfenan (totalt): 3; Mjukstrålar i ryggfenan (totalt): 8-9. Diagnosis: Body deep; mouth subterminal to inferior, lips smooth; striae on scales are parallel; the last simple dorsal ray is ossified and smooth; number of lateral line scales small, 29 to 31; branched rays in anal fin 5 (Ref. 57642).
