Ryggkotor: 39 - 41. Diagnosed from its congeners by having the following characters: very thin and not overlapping scales; skin not thickened, scales clearly visible, covering whole body, often narrowly to widely separated in particular in pre-pelvic area; conspicuous broad dark midlateral stripe from eye to end of caudal peduncle within pigmented area on back and flank; dorsal and anal fins with 7½ branched rays; snout stout, markedly rounded, mouth subterminal; and short, interrupted lateral line, usually with 23-37 pored scales, ending in area between pectoral and anal (Ref. 59043).

Biologi     Ordlista (t.ex. epibenthic)

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.5000   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00832 (0.00383 - 0.01808), b=3.10 (2.93 - 3.27), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this (Sub)family-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Trofisk nivå (Ref. 69278):  3.3   ±0.4 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Resiliens (Ref. 120179):  Hög, lägsta populationsfördubblingstid mindre än 15 månader (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
