Dorsale stekels (totaal): 42 - 46; Dorsale zachte stralen (totaal): 99-108; Anale stekels 2; Anale zachte stralen: 91 - 98; Wervels: 151 - 159. Body silvery, jaws and opercle blackish. The inside of the mouth and gill cavities black.
