পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ): 33 - 38; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 0-1; পায়ূ কাঁটা 2; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 22 - 24. Color ranges from yellowish brown, reddish or greenish, streaked, mottled or barred darker; light-edged ocellus on shoulder (Ref. 5496).

Inhabits rock pools; agile and difficult to capture (Ref. 5496).
