पृष्ठीय रीढ़ (सम्पूर्ण): 7; पृष्ठीय सौफट रेज़ (सम्पूर्ण): 16-17; गुदा कांटा 1; ऐनल सौफट रेज़: 16 - 18. Body reddish brown with patches on the cheeks and a black spot at the base of the tail. SL to 38 mm.
Occurs among mangroves (Ref. 1602). Also forms aggregations near surface of marine lakes and tidal streams (Ref. 90102).
