পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ): 30 - 32; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 8-9; পায়ূ কাঁটা 2; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 22 - 24. Around 7 brown irregular crossbars edged with iridescent blue; preserved specimens uniform buff (Ref. 5496).
Found in kelp beds at low tide. Attains over 10 cm.
