পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ): 10; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 9; পায়ূ কাঁটা 3; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 7. Body pinkish above, shading through pale mauve to silvery on ventral half with 4 or 5 longitudinal, upward-curved silvery-white stripes along the middle of each scale row below lateral line.

Inhabit sand and muddy bottoms (Ref. 9785).
