পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ): 0; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 21-25; পায়ূ কাঁটা 0; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 25 - 29; কশেরুকা : 54 - 58. Caudal fin small; pelvic fins free of membranes (Ref. 6885). Body and head black; luminous organs attached to head reputed to be colored; barbel bulb pink; subocular red; postocular green (Ref. 6885).
