Pigmentation: on snout and lower jaw; laterally and posteriorly on braincase; anterior and posterior to heart; on pectoral fin base; midlateral series (1-several per cluster) arranged vertically in myosepta around notochord; series (stellate) ventrolaterally along gut. Sequence of fin development: caudal, dorsal and anal, pectoral (later resorbed).
