Description of life cycle and mating behavior In aquaria, a monogamous, pair-bonding, biparental ovophilic mouth brooder. Eggs are deposited on hard substrate or on leaves and incubated by the female for the first 2 or 3 days; afterwhich incubation may be done by both male and female (but mainly by female) (Ref. 50577).
