Comments: Eggs measure 1.4-1.5 mm (Ref. 2196). Eggs are deposited in a depression on the bottom. The males actively protect the embryonic eggs and alevins. During this period, the male is very aggressive and eats little (Ref. 30578). At a temperature of 17°C, incubation takes 5-6 days. The alevins measure 2.3 mm at hatching (Ref. 2196).
