Comments: Spawning takes place between Japan and the Philippines in April, May and June, spreading to the waters off southern Honshu in July and to the Sea of Japan in August. Pacific bluefin of 270 to 300 kg produce about 10 million eggs but there is no information on the frequency of spawning.
