Comments: Parturition occurred between mid-January and mid-March, and peaked in February . For fertilized females, absolute fecundity ranged from 283,618 oocytes for a 38.1-cm-FL female to 1,073,356 oocytes for a 51-cm-FL female. Relative fecundity (based on fertilized eggs) increased with age from 374 eggs/g for fish age 6 to 549 eggs/g for fish age 16. (Ref. 53510). Fecundity refers to unfertilized females.
