Additional Characters Pelagic, round or spherical, and pink or red. In New Zealand waters, 2.8-4.0 mm diameter with no oil droplets. Spiny projections cover the external surface at least during some stage of their development (Ref. 92949). Eggs hatch about 10 days to two weeks after fertilization (Ref. 92949).
