Additional Characters Eggs are elliptical in shape, about 2.5 mm across at the longest point. Ripe ova range from 1.94 to 2.95 mm (Ref. 96). In Lake Kinneret, egg diameter in ripe females ranges from 2.50 to 2.96 mm long and 2.10 to 2.25 mm wide (Ref. 351).
