Comments Ova were imported to Alberta and fry were subsequently released in South Fork, Three Isle, Gap and Galatea Lakes at high altitudes in the Alberta Rocky mountains, and later to the Red Deer River drainage. Reintroduced in 1960 from California and placed in Golden Lake in Jasper National Park, and in Kaufman Lake in Kootenay National Park, British Columbia (Ref. 13364). Species established in Alberta without causing any environmental problems. The two 1960 plantings failed to establish populations in the two national parks and there have been no further introductions (Ref. 1995).     Ref:  Crossman, E.J., 1984
