Comments | Also introduced from Hong Kong. By farming Nile tilapia the peasants can get a higher production. Established mainly in aquaculture ponds in Hubei province. The yield of Nile tilapia and its hybridization reached 23,000 tons in 1993. It has become a main species in pond farming in most parts of the country. Also Ref. 74657. Ref: FAO, 1997 |
