| Remarks | Seventeen microsatellite markers for the species were isolated and characterized. Ten of the 14 loci were polymorphic within the species. The markers reported provide a valuable molecular tool for detailed genetic analysis of stock structure in wild populations as well as broodstock of cultured mahseer species (Ref. 58500). |
