| Remarks | RNA/DNA ratio of juveniles in different rearing conditions reflect differences in growth rate between fish exhibiting complete and incomplete smoltification. In the natural environments among juveniles, the maximal values of the RNA/DNA index were observed in fish quickly leaving the estuarine zone and migrating into waters of oceanic salinity. In juveniles remaining longer in the estuary, lower values of the RNA/DNA index were observed (Ref. 44926). |
