Max. size:  37.4 cm TL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 607.3 g
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; brackish
Distribution:  Asia: China (Ref. 33450), Korea (Ref. 39317) and Viet Nam (Ref. 44416).
Diagnosis:  Body long; circular backside, not very ridgy. Big mouth, lower jaw protruding. Rounded dark spots on the head, operculum and body sides (Ref. 85820).

Country info:  Type locality of Sinoperca aequiformis, Rakutoko River about Mitsuyo, near Fusan [Pusan], ZUMT 13462 (Ref. 94476). Recorded from the Han, Nakdong, Kum, Youngsan and Sumjin rivers (Ref. 58345). This species has been declared as Natural Monument Fish by the Act of Cultural Assests (Ref. 59236).
