Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Japan, the Korean Peninsula, and China. Occurrence in Taiwan doubtful.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits rivers and lakes.

Country info:  Occurs in Kyushu, Shikoku, and Honshu west of the Chûbu District (Ref. 559). Also in Kawahara-oike Lake, Nagasaki (Ref. 32231); Futatsukawa Creek, Fukuoka Prefecture (Ref. 37350) and Lake Biwa (Ref. 78994)..
